1. NUTSHELL EDUCATION

What is a fundforall giving account?

A fundforall giving account is a way for you to set aside money for charitable purposes and distribute it to your favorite charities at lightning speed. From your account, your giving history is organized all in one place, and you can see the impact of your giving by creating personalized reports right out of your account. You can have fun while you give by earning badges for achieving milestones, and you can invite friends and family to join you in your giving journey with the click of a button.

Is a fundforall account a Donor Advised Fund and how is it different from a traditional Donor Advised Fund?

A fundforall account is a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) but it's accessible to everyone. The starting cost for a traditional DAF is usually $2,500. We offer a Giving Starter account for free! Traditional Donor Advised Funds earn interest but fundforall accounts do not. We encourage distributing funds to charities rather than letting funds sit and accrue interest. That's why distributing funds from your fundforall account is fast and easy! Distributions from traditional DAFs require forms and take weeks, which is the opposite of fast and easy!

2. STARTING AN ACCOUNT

How do I create a fundforall account? Is it free?

Your fundforall Giving Starter account is 100% free! To start an account, visit fundforall.org and click Sign up. From there you will enter the email address you want your account associated with and a secure password.

How do I know if I have a DAF or a Foundation account?

We offer five different giving account options. Depending on the account you select, you will have either a donor advised fund account or a foundation account. Our Giving Starter (free accounts) and Giving Expert accounts are donor advised funds and our Giving Pro (Individual) and Giving Pro (Corporate) account are foundations. Once inside your Dashboard, you can quickly determine your account type by glancing at the bottom, right-hand side of your screen.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount I have to put into my account when I set it up?

Yes, there is a minimum $10 contribution when setting up your account but there is no maximum amount you can contribute. Go for it!

3. MANAGING MY ACCOUNT

I am having sign in issues. How do I reset my password?

No problem. We can help you. Simple click the Forgot your password? link on the Sign in page. Input your email and we'll handle the rest.

How do I get back into the account I created?

Once you have created a giving fund account you will need the email address and password you used to set up your fund. Go to fundforall.org and click Sign in. Type in your email address and password to gain access to your account. If you forgot your password, click on the link Forgot My Password and a reset email will be sent to accounts registered email address.

Can I name a successor for my giving account?

Absolutely. In fact, we suggest you do. Once you are logged into your account, go to your Giving Dashboard and find the Account Management section. There will be a section titled Name a Successor. From there you will be required to enter the email address and phone number of your successor. If you do not name a successor and your account remains inactive for 24 months, the funds in your account may be used for charitable purposes by fundforall. We will send you notices well before that happens.

What happens if I stop using my account and there are still funds in it? (inactivity/abandonment)

After 24 months of inactivity, we will reach out to you and your Successor. If you do not name a successor and your account remains inactive for 24 months, the funds in your account may be used for charitable purposes by fundforall. We will send you notices well before that happens.
