What's the

BIG

difference?

When you see the word:
Here's what it means:
1.
1.

Deposit

The act of putting money into your fundforall account wallet. These funds are 100% tax-deductible. You receive a tax-deductible receipt for each deposit made into your account wallet. These receipts are also stored in your fundforall account dashboard.

2.
2.

Donation

When you make a deposit into your fundforall account wallet, the IRS considers this a donation. Note, fundforall is a donor advised fund platform powered by Charity On Top Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (ID# 81-1198370).

Donations necessitate a tax-deductible receipt from Charity On Top. For the purposes of the Internal Revenue Service regulations, no goods or services are provided in consideration of this gift. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

3.

Distribution

We are a community of givers! Givers distribute money to organizations they find interesting to them when searching our enormous database of 1.8 million charities.

You will not receive a tax-deductible letter from charities to which you distribute monies.

4.
4.

Disbursement

Oh! This is the best part. A disbursement is the process by which we pay charities the monies given them by awesome people like you.

Charities will be notified they have funds available immediately after you make a distribution! Charities can immediately go to their accounts and choose how to receive their funds: by check within 7-10 business days, by physical prepaid card* in 7-10 business days, by virtual prepaid card* which is available immediately, or by ACH which takes 2-3 days for the funds to land in the account.

*This Card is issued by Sunrise Banks N.A., Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Mastercard International Incorporated. Registration, activation, acceptance, or use of this card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions stated in the Prepaid Card Agreement.

Shift Funds

When you Shift Funds, you are moving funds from one wallet to another within your account. No funds leave your account, and we keep record of how much was shifted, to which wallet and when. You can see this information on this page.

You're asking yourself, "Self... why would I Shift Funds around in my account? What benefit does it provide me when using my fundforall account? Why do I always put an odd number of ice cubes in my glass?" Good questions!

We can sum up the benefits in one word, organization.

Transfer Funds

When you Transfer Funds, you are moving funds from a wallet in your account to another user's wallet. This is a one way operation for the user who initiates the transfer. In other words, you cannot get back funds from a user to which funds were transferred.

If the recipient of the funds chooses to return them to you, the operation and the outcome is the same for them as well.

You cannot Transfer Funds to a person without a fundforall account.
